Haitian Artists in America features the work of gifted Haitian artists who now live in the United States. Produced by Emmanuel Dostaly, Patrice Piard, Shubert Denis, and Patrick Wah, the book includes works by almost fifty artists, most of whom work in the "sophisticated primitive" style. Each artist's work is complemented by a biography and a photo of the artist, and often a statement of the artist's aesthetic philosophy.
